Be A Voter

Client: Bad Robot & Rock The Vote partnership

Overview: Be A Voter is a postcarding activation created with Bad Robot Productions and Rock the Vote to encourage young people to participate in elections. Launched during the 2018 California primary, the campaign focused on making civic engagement feel more personal and accessible through physical outreach.

Objective: Design a campaign and kit that motivates young voters to take action by simplifying the process of outreach and making participation feel tangible, engaging, and approachable.

Approach: The concept centered around personal connection—using handwritten postcards as a way to cut through digital noise and create a more meaningful call to action. The visual system was designed with the following elements in mind: clarity, boldness and accessibility.

Execution: Be A Voter kits were created and distributed to major media and entertainment partners, including Netflix, Hulu, Fox, Paramount, Creative Artists Agency, and ICM Partners. Each kit included postcards, pens, stamps, and informational inserts—designed as a cohesive system to guide users through the process of voter outreach.

Outcome: The campaign successfully activated young voters through a tactile, community-driven approach and was expanded across multiple election cycles, including the 2020 Presidential election and 2022 primaries in key states. Its continued rollout reflects the effectiveness of combining thoughtful design with social impact.
