What is The Fairy Place?

The Fairy Place is an online & pop-up store created by Saoirse McGurrin where handcrafted fairy house kits, handmade felt fairies & gnomes, and curated fairy letter kits cohabit.

The Fairy Place is the place for all things magic.

The logo

The main product of The Fairy Place is the handcrafted fairy house, a DIY kit that you can build, decorate, and keep changing throughout the seasons.

From our first conversation, Saoirse and I knew the logo would somehow incorporate the house's magic. Its unique acorn shape and soft, organic edges are the main inspiration for it.

The custom lettering is whimsical and playful.

The three stars on top of the chimney represent the fairies’ magic.

The packaging

I worked as a graphic designer, printer, and consultant for this portion of the project. I combined analog and digital printing techniques; mixed inks and tested prints to match for Pantone® 4215-C and Pantone® 2057-C; and made sure to maintain a cohesive language throughout all assets required.

These kits are all meant to be hand-crafted, unique, beautiful, whimsical, fun, and above all, magical!
